in disguise

do you hear
the poems are dying
every step
....................every breath
...........................................every beat?

do you see
autumn clouds erazing
in my eyes
...................sky and earth
............................................blue and green?

do you feel
I am walking on water
not like Saviour did
like a goose
chasing shadows of airborne brothers
flapping wings
that will never cut loose?

do you know
the circle of winter
...............................drawn by wind
.......................................................in a piling snow?

do you sense
I am freezing alive...
in a puddle
....................of empty apartment
down
below
the monitor's ice?

don't be bothered
(the poems are dying)
grab pink glasses
put death in disguise
.

This is so sad. Delicately written, like wrapping silk over an open wound. I certainly hope your poems don't die.

Thank you.
I've been writing in Russian since I was a teen. I've spent 8 years in US. I could not share my Russian poems with friends. And without dialogue or response they
were dying. I do not feel the freedom in expressing myself in English and many images turn out dead and mute.
Thank you for your sensitivity and kindness.

Thank you.

Sometimes a certain sadness comes
when I realize how much beyond
my power of expression are the feelings and thoughts that stream
through me.

Thank you.
I'm not sure which picture you mean. The one with the temple and the one with hibiscus are from Hawaii. A blossom of star magnolia is from Chicago.

excellent that you put the work into expressing yourself this way...focusing on the very frustration about writing the poems in a different language. Keep it coming!
